🔧 Building & Tinkering
- Learning AI at a breakneck pace: Claude Cowork, ChatGPT, and Harvey.ai for legal work. So far Harvey is a very good tool for augmenting my work, but a mid-quality assistant. With a carefully created prompt it can draft the shell of an odd document in minutes, and it finds proofreading errors that would otherwise be hard to catch. But it makes mistakes, relies on untrustworthy sources, and its output is often incomplete.
📚 Reading & Listening
- Apple at 50 by David Pogue: Listening on Audible. The hardcover stays on my desk for the photos.
- The Rest is History and The Rest is Politics: New additions to my usual podcast rotation.
- Matter: Settled on it as my read-it-later app after Readwise Reader frustrated me endlessly.
🎯 Life
Anxiously awaiting my first grand niece, and looking forward to celebrating my nephew's Master of Social Work. After a week of rain, the weather here is very nice. Hoping to be in the pool with all of the dogs this week.
